Abstract:
This presentation examines the extent to which an interfering signal’s geometrical and power aspects of Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) may be ascertained based on utilization of an accurately pre-determined receiving antenna pattern, well-established carrier transmission characteristics, a reasonably constant interference signal and the use of boresighted and off-nominal antenna pointing. Examples are presented, and application to both intentional and incidental RFI problems is discussed.
